We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Makeup Assistant to join our dynamic team of Makeup Artists at Brainiac Beauty Events! Join in the fun and teach beginners exciting makeup tips & tricks at our Makeup Tutorial Parties!

Brainiac Beauty is a mobile makeup studio. We host pop-up makeup classes for beginners in Baltimore and The DMV. Our makeup classes are called Sip & Pretty Makeup Tutorial Parties.

The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service while assisting with various makeup application services during our in-person Makeup Tutorials! This position requires a passion for the beauty industry and a commitment to women's empowerment, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn and grow within the role. Duties

• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting clients warmly and addressing their needs.
• Assist in performing beauty services such as makeup application for our guests who are beginners at makeup and seeking to learn personal makeup application skills.
• Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas.
• Engage in consulting by recommending additional classes to clients who desire additional practice.
• Capture high-quality content of events for promotional purposes (training provided)
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences and provide personalized recommendations.
• Support team members in daily operations to ensure a smooth workflow.

Experience

• Previous experience in customer service is essential; experience in the beauty industry is highly desirable, but not required. Beauty enthusiasts with a desire to learn how to apply makeup on others are encouraged to apply too.
• Familiarity with beauty industry language, including the ability to identify and describe the most common makeup products and product benefits.
• Knowledge of sanitation protocols and best practices within a beauty setting.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
• Experience in retail sales and upselling techniques is a plus.
